Who are zoomers?

Zoomers are members of Generation Z, the demographic cohort born roughly between 1997 and 2012. This generation follows Millennials and precedes Generation Alpha, making them the first truly digital-native generation to grow up entirely surrounded by the internet, smartphones, and social media.

The term "zoomer" is a playful nickname that emerged as a linguistic parallel to "boomer" (Baby Boomers), while also reflecting Gen Z's fast-paced, highly connected lifestyle. Zoomers are characterized by their comfort with technology, social consciousness, and ability to quickly adapt to new digital platforms and trends.

Today's zoomers range from preteens to young adults in their mid-to-late twenties. They've been shaped by events like the Great Recession's aftermath, increasing social activism, climate change awareness, and the COVID-19 pandemic. As a generation, they're known for their entrepreneurial spirit, advocacy for social justice, and fluency in navigating multiple online identities across various social media platforms.
